Under each wing a Ju 87 auxiliary tank rack
with fairing in accordance with KBV 22799

Program:
1.) Flight characteristics:
a.) with auxiliary tank rack fairing in accordance with KBV 22799, without tanks,
b.) with tanks

2. Level speeds with combat and economical power.

Results:
1.) For flights with the small rack fairing (condition a), no deterioration of flight characteristics were noticed.
In contrast, condition b) with auxiliary tanks attached resulted in strong aileron buffeting from va = 236 mph (380 km/h), so that the machine could not be flown to full level speed. The use of these rack fairings is therefore not possible in this condition.

2.) The level speeds with combat and economical power (see graph) without auxiliary tanks or bombs are about 16 - 19 mph (25 – 30 km/h) better at ground level compared to Fw 190/669 with the prototype rack fairing as per BSK 72313. The speeds could not be determined with auxiliary tanks for the reasons mentioned under 1).
