Condition: Engine BMW 801 D2/20244
Tight engine cowling.
Split flaps.
Armament: 2 MG 151
Autopilot.
Variometer installation
Robotic system.
Auxiliary wing tanks with standard Ju 87 rack fairing, or two faired ETC 50 each wing in accordance with 8-190862-Z01
ETC 501 under the fuselage with ER 4 lock 50 L 2

Program:
1. Check the auxiliary wing tank system.
2. Level speeds for various operational conditions with ETC 50 or bomb locks.
3. Assessment of the instrument panels.
4. Ram pressure calibration on the test course.

Results:
1. The re-check of the fuel flow from the auxiliary wing tank gave 960 l/h. The pump limiter responded at 285 liters indicated in the rear tank. It is noted in this context that in some cases the pump limiter reopens only at 245 liters in the rear tank, so that the auxiliary tank pumps must be switched off only after the indicator shows less than 240 liters.

2. Level speed values at combat power for the various operational conditions were as follows (see graph) :

Condition: Speed
Vwc in 0 m height
Speed loss ΔV
from attachments
Clean machine
with ETC 501 without bombs
under the fuselage
532 km/h -

ETC 501 without bomb
2 ETC 50 (with fairing after 8-190.862-Z01)
without bombs each wing
514 km/h 18 km/h

ETC 501 without bomb
ETC 50 with bombs
493 km/h 39 km/h

ETC 501 with ER 4 lock 50 L2 and bombs
ETC 50 with bombs
466 km/h 72 km/h

With regard to flying characteristics, no objections were found in all conditions.

3. The variometer installation is not working properly, that device cannot be read between +2 and -4 m/sec, as this area is hidden by the Revi. The clock installed in parallel to the right cockpit wall can also not be read between 13 to 14 clock.
